Students benefit from a relaxed learning environment while gaining experience flying along Wisconsin’s scenic shoreline, operating from nearby towered and non-towered airports, and navigating a variety of airspace environments. This unique combination of real-world flight scenarios and progressive air traffic operations helps accelerate skill development and build lasting confidence in the cockpit. Originally named and operating as Centurion Aviation, a pilot named David Finstad founded a small flight school with a Cessna 150 in an unheated hangar. The school gained business through local referrals with the goal of mentoring students to help them achieve their aviation goals. The school grew in size with the purchase of a 172 and moved to a larger heated hanger with offices for a more comfortable training environment at Batten International Airport in Racine.
After Dave's passing in 2024, the school continued to operate and transferred ownership to one of his former students whose goal is to continue his legacy in helping students achieve their aviation dreams.
